Cancer is the deadliest disease of our age. Modern science and medicine is still struggling with its cause and treatment, but most scientists agree that stress and inflammation contribute towards it.

What foods you should eat to prevent it?

The key to preventing cancer are anti-inflammatory compounds besides a healthy, active and stress-free lifestyle. Many of the foods that can prevent cancer can be found in almost every home.

How turmeric fights cancer

Turmeric is a spice with powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It also contains one of the most powerful non-pharmaceutical anti-inflammatory compounds – curcumin.

Curcumin is the active ingredient of turmeric which possesses chemo preventive properties. It can target and kill cancer cells and prevent their growth. It has shown to be effective against breast, bowel, stomach and skin cancer, but can also help against colon, prostate, ovarian and brain cancer.

Black pepper

The only way to increase the effectiveness of turmeric is black pepper. It contains a compound called piperine, which can increase the bioavailability of turmeric by over 2000%.

Olive oil

Olive oil is a great addition to turmeric because curcumin is a fat-soluble compound. As such, it needs to be dissolved in fat in order to get to the intestine, where it can be absorbed in the bloodstream. This healthy oil is rich in antioxidants and other anti-cancer compounds.
