Each food group can be divided into 3 categories: food that acts like medicine, food that does no harm to any blood type and food that is essentially poison.

Coconut oil

Coconut oil is a healthy ingredient which is very beneficial for your immune and digestive system. It’s a great source of healthy fats and tolerates high temperatures well, meaning that it can be used for cooking. Coconut oil is rich in medium-chain fatty acids which are easy to digest and are used as energy for the liver. The good fats in the oil have antimicrobial properties and can balance the levels of beneficial bacteria in your gut. It’s a very satiating food – eating it regularly can reduce your food cravings.


Like coconut oil, avocados are also rich in healthy fats, in this case monounsaturated fats. These fats reduce inflammation in the body and can regulate your blood pressure. Adding avocado in your diet will make you feel full for longer, meaning that it’s great for weight loss.

Oily fish

Most anti-inflammatory foods are high in fat. Natural fats are anti-inflammatory, while processed vegetable oils are most often pro-inflammatory.

Oily fish are rich in omega-3 fatty acids and can stimulate the production of prostaglandins, pain relieving hormones in the body. This means that oily fish are great against inflammatory conditions such as arthritis, gout and fibromyalgia, and they are also great against atherosclerosis.

Fish are also rich in selenium, a mineral that can reduce the production of auto-antibodies and stop autoimmune diseases. It is also required for glutathione production, a powerful antioxidant which is vital for your health. Selenium can help the body fight infections, which are often the main cause of inflammation in the body.

Oily fish rich in omega-3 fatty acids are wild salmon, trout, mackerel, herring, sardines, mullet and anchovies.


Turmeric is a bright yellow spice which has a mild flavor and can be added to soups, stews and smoothies. Curcumin, its active ingredient, has powerful anti-inflammatory and is an excellent natural pain reliever, which can also improve the function of your immune system.

Dark chocolate

Quality dark chocolate is actually very healthy – and by quality, we mean dark chocolate consisting of 85% or higher cocoa. This type of dark chocolate doesn’t contain dairy, and most brands don’t even have soy lecithin, which may be genetically modified. Dark chocolate doesn’t contain much sugar, and the intense flavor prevents people from overindulging.

Dark chocolate is rich in polyphenols, which can eliminate free radicals in the body and boost the levels of the “good” HDL cholesterol in your blood. People with syndrome X or insulin resistance have low levels of HDL cholesterol in their blood, which is why they need to consume dark chocolate regularly.

As you can see, healthy food doesn’t mean boring food.  There are different delicious foods that can reduce the inflammation in your body and improve your overall health.
