A kg. of onions

A small piece of ginger root

A liter of water

400 gr. of honey

A pinch of turmeric


Put a water in a pot on medium heat, and add the honey. When the mixture gets to a boil, add the chopped onions and ginger root, and leave it to boil for a couple of minutes before adding the turmeric. Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer until the liquid is reduced to half. Allow the mixture to cool down, then strain it and transfer it into a jar. Keep the elixir in the fridge.
