Sciatica, also known as lumboischialgia, is a pain that goes down to one of the legs. It is usually caused by pressure on the sciatic nerve, which occurs due to degenerative changes and premature aging of the discs between the vertebrae. Improper sitting and posture, wearing high heels for prolonged time, stretching muscles, lifting heavy load and excess weight can all be factors that cause the condition, as well as damaged disc and nerve inflammation.

The usual symptoms of sciatica are pain and numbness in the lumbar area of the spine that occur due to excessive bending, lifting or heavier effort. The pain originates from the lower back and goes down to the hip and back of the thighs, the back of the fetlock and fingers of the foot. It can be sharp, blunt and strong, and can be either permanent or temporary. Coughing, sneezing and any physical effort are followed by numbness, and rising a leg leads to stretching of the sciatic nerve and sharp pain.
Thankfully, the following natural remedy can successfully relieve the symptoms and cure the condition:

4 garlic cloves

20 ml. of milk

Chop the garlic finely, heat the milk and add the garlic in it. Cook the mixture for a couple of minutes, then let it simmer and sweeten with honey if you want afterwards.

For best results, drink 2 dc. of the remedy on a daily basis.
