keep-spiders-out-of-your-home

Nobody likes spiders. So this means nobody wants them around the house even when they are harmless.

There is a natural way to get rid of them without exposing your family to a harmful chemical.

Here you can read about it and help your home.

Mint them out

Spiders hate peppermint. You can fill in a spray bottle with peppermint essential oil and water and spray your home with it. You will get rid of the spiders and the home will smell great.

Clean it up

The cheapest way is not always the easiest way. You need to keep your home clean, tidy and dust free so that the spiders don’t move around. You need to do regular vacuuming, dusting, de-cluttering to keep your home spider free.

Chestnuts

Chestnuts have been used to keep spiders away. You need to place few chestnuts on the windowsills or baseboards so that spiders won`t stay there. You can also use osage orange known as hedge apple. They can stay in the house for long time before getting bad. You can try it.

Vinegar

White vinegar can be used in many ways for the house. And one of them is to remove the spiders. You need to fill in a spray bottle with vinegar and water and spray all the cracks and crevices around the house. The same ways like you use peppermint oil.

Keep them out

The best way to get rid of the spiders is to never let them in. You need to get rid of leaves, grass clippings, wood piles and other notorious spider hangouts around the house. Check for the door openings and windowsills for spiders as well. You can apply chalk if you want.

Keep a furry friend

You can keep cats to help this issue. They can hunt and will not let spiders on the floor.

Use Citrus

Spiders don’t like citrus. You can rub citrus peels on the areas where spiders frequently hang out, like baseboards, windowsills and bookshelves. You can also use lemon scented furniture polish to fight spiders.

Use Cider to help

Use the cedar outside the perimeter of your home and keep everything from getting in. You can use cedar chest or cedar hangers for the inside, maybe inside the closet. Cedar blocks or shavings can be used for the closets, cupboards or drawers to keep the spiders outside.

Tobacco

Spiders don’t like tobacco the same way they don’t like lemons or chestnuts. You can use tobacco pieces to sprinkle around the home or even soak the tobacco in water and spray this mixture all around. This is a little bit expensive, but you can use it if you like.
